Baltimore Firefighters Trapped in Building Collapse at Extra Alarm Apartment Fire on Stricker St in Baltimore

Building at Stricker and Pratt Has Burned Before

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Baltimore responded about 6:00 am. Monday, January 24, 2022 to a report of a fire at a 3-story row home apartment building in the block of 200 Stricker Street in Baltimore. Upon arrival firefighters discovered fire showing from three floors. Fire was showing through two sets of windows on three floors.

Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 reported at 6:14 a.m. that three firefighters were trapped in the collapse and one was rescued and transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

The same building shows fire damage in July 2019 in a Google Street View image. Today, there was much more damage through the roof. Also, a fire was reported one block south in the 300 block of South Stricker Street in February 2019. That fire killed an adult female in the block of 300 South Stricker Street in Baltimore.
