Country Club Hills police responded about 2:34 PM Wednesday January 5, 2022 to a vehicular hijacking at I-57 Northbound at 167th Street Country Club Hills, IL. Police received a report that a white 2001 Jeep Compass was taken by threat of force.
Initially no suspect information was available. The vehicle and offender(s) were last seen northbound on I-94 near 51st Street and then near 31 Street.
Initially there was no confirmation whether the carjacking occurred on I-57 or near the interchange of I-57 and 167th Street at surface street level.
