Gas Leak After Construction Crew Hits Gas Line Palatine Rd and Linden Ave Palatine


Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Palatine responded about 8:28 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 to a report of a natural gas leak near a business address of 434 East Palatine Road in Palatine. A caller reported that a construction crew hit a gas line, and that resulted in a gas odor and the sound of escaping gas.

Firefighters on arrival reported the leak was just north of Palatine Road on Linden Avenue and that initially there didn’t appear to be a reason to close Palatine Road (situation could change without notice from CARDINAL NEWS).


According the the National Weather Service office at O’Hare International Airport at 7:51 a.m., winds are light and variable at 3 MPH.
