Two of 3 Males in Fatal Road Rage Beating in West Dundee Arrested; Suspect from Belize Remains At Large

Police arrested two of three suspects charged with the fatal beating of a Carpentersville man at the Casey’s gas station and convenience store in West Dundee in June 2021. Kurt E. Doporcyk, 41, of Algonquin, and Ryan T. Barrett, 32, of Huntley were arrested recently, but both were released on bond by Tuesday.

Doporcyk was arrested before 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, and was released from Kane County Jail on $150,000 bond just after noon. His next court date is August 19, 2021.

Kane County Court records and details for Ryan T. Barrett were not initially available. Barrett may have been arrested before Doporcyk.

Peter D. Stoyshich, 30, of Belize and Tallahassee, Florida remains at large.

All three male suspects remain accused of assaulting 52-year-old Alex T. Hall Jr. of Carpentersville on June 10, 2021 in the parking lot of the Casey’s gasoline station and convenience store at 700 South Eighth Street in West Dundee. Hall died of his injuries Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Advocated Sherman Hospital, and each of the three suspects were charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, one count of aggravated battery in a public place and one count of mob action.

The West Dundee Police Department is urging citizens to assist with providing information about the whereabouts of Peter Stoyshich, age 30 with known residency in the country Belize in Central America and Tallahassee, Florida.




West Dundee police released photos of the three suspects on Saturday, July 31, 2021. They were wanted for the investigation of a fatal road rage incident that ended in the parking lot of Casey’s gas station and convenience store at 700 South 8th Street (Route 31) — kitty-corner from the West Dundee Police Department headquarters at Route 31 and Willow Lane / Strom Drive. Charges against the suspects were announced Thursday, July 22, 2021.

The three males are suspected of beating and killing one man and injuring two other passengers. Alex T. Hall Jr. of Carpentersville, 52, died three days after the road rage incident from blunt trauma to his neck, according to the Kane County Coroner’s Office. He died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Advocated Sherman Hospital. The fight ended outside the relatively new Casey’s gas station convenience store in West Dundee after two vehicles were driven off the street following an unknown or undisclosed encounter involving the two vehicles.




A total of six people were involved in the encounter — the three suspects in one vehicle, and murder victim Alex T. Hall Jr. and the two others that were injured.

Citizens who think they have have sighted Peter Stoyshich should not approach him, but should immediately and discretely call 9-1-1 to report the sighting.

Otherwise, any citizens with information about the case or any citizens who know the whereabouts of Peter Stoyshich are urged to call the West Dundee Police Department at 847-551-3810.
