Palatine police responded about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 to a report that a ruse burglary occurred in the block of 1500 West Rue James Place in Palatine. The ruse (distraction) burglary took place while one offender distracted the homeowner outside, while another entered the home and removed jewelry and valuables.
The incident is under investigation, according to Palatine Police Department.
