Police from Gurnee responded about 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021 to reports of multiple fights at Six Flags Great America. Upon arrival, police saw a large group of people fighting near a park entrance and began to break up the fights. Initially, police were not able to determine whether several coincidental fights existed or whether one large fight was underway.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
Several suspects were taken into custody, but information about the number of people arrested or whether charges will be filed was not initially available.
A special detail of police officers regularly assigned to patrol the Six Flags Great America responded to the fight along with patrol officers from police beats in the Village of Gurnee.
