Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Elk Grove Village responded about 12:04 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 to a report of a natural gas leak in the block of 1800 Hawk Lane.
In addition to a gas odor, several callers report fumes are visible and can hissing can be heard from the residential property on Hawk Lane.
Engine 10’s crew on arrival reports there is road construction at the scene.
Wind was from the east at 9:51 a.m. at 7 MPH at 9:51 a.m., according to current conditions reported by the National Weather Service at O’Hare International Airport. Later readings before 10:10 p.m. reported winds calm and Air Temperature 74°F.
