Glover is tentatively scheduled to appear in bond court Monday afternoon, January 4, 2020 at 1:30PM in courtroom T020.

All charging decisions are at the sole discretion of the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

One teen is dead and another injured after a fight occurred when a Round Lake Beach Man found the two in his stolen vehicle early Sunday morning and ended up shooting the teens during the fight (CBS Chicago).

On Sunday, January 3, 2021, at approximately 2:50AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of Route 12 and Route 120, Volo, for a possible fight in progress. Lake County Sheriff’s deputies arrived quickly and located three individuals in a parking lot in the 30400 block of Route 12, Volo near the Platinum Auto Body and Collision business. Two of the individuals sustained gunshot wounds and one of those two were deceased at the scene. The third individual had minor injuries.

Wauconda and Fox Lake firefighter/paramedics responded to the scene to treat and/or transport the injured victims. One victim was down near the parking lot. Another victim was down on Route 12 nearby. One victim was dead at the scene; another was transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital. A third victim refused transportation by paramedics.

Preliminary investigation shows a 35-year-old man of Round Lake Beach had his vehicle stolen several days ago. At approximately 2:45AM this morning, he located his stolen vehicle in the area of Route 12 and Route 120. The vehicle was occupied by two 17-year-old males of Carol Stream. The two fled from the 35-year-old in the stolen vehicle, but the vehicle ran out of gas approximately one-mile south of Route 120. The two pulled into a parking lot in the 30400 block of Route 12.

A struggle ensued between the three males. During the struggle, one of the males produced a firearm and it was discharged multiple times. One of the 17-year-old males was struck by the gunfire and later pronounced deceased at the scene. The other 17-year-old was struck by the gunfire and sustained serious injuries. That male was transported to an area hospital for his injuries. The 35-year-old sustained minor non-gunshot wounds and did not need medical treatment. He remained at the scene.

The sheriff’s office has no reason to believe there were other individuals involved in this incident and there is no immediate threat to the surrounding community.

A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed, and another teenager wounded by gunfire, during a fight over a stolen car in far north suburban Volo early Sunday morning according to police.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and an autopsy for the deceased 17-year-old is tentatively scheduled for tomorrow.

This incident remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
