Extra Alarm Fire at a Commercial Building Near Beach, Homeless Encampment in Venice, California

Los Angeles City firefighters are fighting an extra alarm fire on Ocean Front Walk near Park Avenue near Venice Beach

Los Angeles city firefighters responded about 6:50 a.m. PT Wednesday, January 13, 2021 to a commercial building fire that may have started in a homeless encampment in a street near the commercial building. LAFD reported at 7:52 a.m. PT that the fire is at 723 South Ocean Front Walk in Venice that may be a 2-story office building with stucco exterior that is home to an attorney’s office.

Firefighters also working to protect a residential building that is exposed nearby.

Three aerial streams and a deck gun stream were aimed at the main fire building.
