Police and firefighter/paramedics from Waukegan responded about 7:17 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 to a report of a head-on crash in the block of 1400 McAree Road in Waukegan. Police, who were first on the scene reported one victim unresponsive. CPR was administered before firefighter/paramedics arrived.
Firefighters on arrival discovered two people were injured in the head-on crash with severe damage to both vehicles. One victim may have had a medical issue prior to the crash.
A second ambulance was dispatched by 7:26 p.m., and both victims were transported to a nearby hospital.
Police were working an extended on-scene crash investigation for several hours, and blocked McAree Road in both directions just north and south of the crash scene.
