Rollover Crash with Entrapment on Route 22 East of Kelsey Rd, Lake Barrington

Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies and firefighter/paramedics from Barrington Countryside FPD responded about 11:17 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 to a report of a rollover crash with entrapment on Route 22 east of Kelsey Road.

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies were first on the scene and reported a rollover crash with entrapment. The first fire crew on arrival reported a vehicle on its roof about 10 feet off the roadway, and reported a confirmed extrication by 11:21 a.m.

A second ambulance was requested at 11:22 a.m., but it was initially unknown whether the ambulance was assigned for a second patient or as a standby ambulance for extrication.

Firefighter/paramedics worked with extrication tools to free a person from a crashed vehicle. A Cary FPD rescue squad also responded to the scene. The patient in the crashed vehicle was extricated by 11:36 a.m.

Initially no report on injuries was available, but at least one patient was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital less than a block away on Route 22.
