President Trump meets with the family of slain Fort Hood soldier Vanessa on Thursday July 30, 2020 before announcing his support for a new congressional bill aimed at changing how sexual abuse and harassment cases are handled by the military.

Vanessa Guillén was murdered at age 20 while serving as a U.S. Army soldier. Investigators believe she was killed on April 22, 2020, inside a Fort Hood, Texas, armory by another enlisted soldier, Aaron David Robinson, age 20. Guillén had been missing since April 22, 2020 until dismembered parts of her remains were found buried along the Leon River on June 30, 2020. Shortly after Guillén’s remains were found, Robinson fled Fort Hood and fatally shot himself when law enforcement attempted to apprehend him in Killeen, Texas shortly after midnight.

Robinson’s girlfriend is alleged to have assisted Robinson in disposing of Guillén’s body, and was taken into custody and charged with one federal count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence on July 2, 2020.

Guillén’s family met President Donald J. Trump on Thursday July 30, 2020.

Disturbing details reveal what happened to Vanessa Guillen the night she disappeared from Fort Hood.
