Vehicle vs Bicyclist Crash on Westleigh Rd Just West of Route 41 in Lake Forest Near the Skokie Valley Bike Path


Police and firefighter/paramedics from Lake Forest responded about 6:07 p.m. Saturday May 9, 2020 to a report of a vehicle crash with a bicyclist on Westleigh Road just west of US 41. The bicyclist was down between US 41 and the railroad tracks which is located at the Skokie Valley Bike Path.

A caller reported the bicyclist was unconscious and breathing. The patient was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center.

Westleigh Road is open in both directions with no active on scene investigation at of 8:10 p.m. However, the Google Maps Traffic Layer showed no traffic on westbound Westleigh Road near the scene.
