Comcast XFINITY is reporting an unplanned outage affecting 51 to 500 subscribers in the 60005 zip code in Arlington Heights at about 7:50 a.m. Friday May 29, 2020. According to Comcast XFINITY, the impacted service included TV, Voice and Internet. A brief outage also occurred in zip code 60004.
In the most recent prior known outage, Comcast XFINITY reported an outage involving routine system maintenance on May 18, 2020 at 2:12 a.m. to May 19, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. The actual interruption of Internet service was observed to last from 2:30 a.m. until about 6:00 a.m. on May 19, 2020.
Another maintenance outage occurred earlier in May 2020, but was not documented by CARDINAL NEWS.
The outages occurred at a time when many people are working at home and require Internet access to telecommute due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
