Dow Bounces Back from Coronavirus Loss This Week March 13, 2020
Stocks bounced back Friday, March 13, 2020, rebounding from the record losses of previous days this week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 1,985 points higher (+9.4%) at 23,185.62, but still did not recover the losses this week. The Friday the 13th gain of 1985 points marked the Dow’s biggest-ever point gain. The S&P 500 rose 9.2% to 2,711.02, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 9.3% to 7,874.23. The averages posted their biggest one-day gain since October 2008. Analyst expect volatility.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, has test positive for Coronavirus COVID-19, is undergoing treatment in isolation, and is reportedly feeling well. She and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be in isolation for 14 days.
She apparently is a case of community transmission, but no confirmation was initially mentioned regarding whether she had any known contacted with an infected person.
