All public liturgical celebrations at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights were suspended until further notice, effective Saturday, March 14, 2020 at noon because of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. St. James Catholic Church on Saturday evening, March 14, 2020 began broadcasting one weekend Mass and one daily Mass liturgy.
St. James Catholic School closed Monday, March 16, 2020.
Adoration Chapel will remain open, but all St. James meetings, Religious Education and activities were suspended until further notice.
St. James Parish also announced an update from the Archdiocese of Chicago regarding Holy Week, stating that Holy Week 2020 Liturgies will not be celebrated publicly. Read the original Fr. Matt’s message and the guidelines from the Archdiocese.
