Newly released surveillance video shows the November 13, 2018 fight between Parkland school shooter Nikolas Cruz and an armed guard inside a Broward County jail in Florida (NBC 6 South Florida).
Authorities released this week a Broward County Jail video that shows a fight with a jail guard that was initiated by confessed school shooter Nikolas Cruz, killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on February 14, 2018 (Valentine’s Day).
The attack and fight, which lasted about one minute, occurred November 13, 2018. Cruz was charged with assault.
According to an affidavit, the suspect gave a deputy the middle finger, charged the deputy, hit the deputy repeatedly, and grabbed the deputy’s taser-like device, before the deputy, who had been guarding, got his taser back. Investigators (NBC News).
Andrew Pollack, father of high school student Meadow Pollack, who was killed in the shooting, said the guard should have finished what Nikolas Cruz started.
