Los Angeles County Firefighters Extinguish Boat Fire in Marina Del Rey Just North of Los Angeles International Airport

CBS Los Angeles reports that initially there were no injuries after a boat fire in Marina Del Rey near the City of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies and Los Angeles County firefighters extinguished a well-involved boat fire that involved primarily the galley of the boat.

No injuries were initially reported.

Marina del Rey is an unincorporated seaside community in Los Angeles County, California, with a marina with many apartment building on-site that is home to approximately 5,000 boats. Marina del Rey is a major boating and water recreation destination of the greater Los Angeles area, and is North America’s largest man-made small-craft harbor.
