Extra Alarm Fire at Rue New Orleans Kitchen on Crescent Blvd Near Main St, Glen Ellyn

Police and firefighter/paramedics from Glen Ellyn responded about 9:30 p.m. Sunday February 2, 2020 to a fire at Rue Restaurant, 504 Crescent Boulevard in Glen Ellyn.

A MABAS Division 12 Box Alarm (#613) was activated at 9:47 p.m. Sunday for the fire in the one-story restaurant, about 25 feet by 50 feet. There is a larger 3-story brick mixed commercial and residential building exposure to the east.

Mutual aid firefighter/paramedics responded from Carol Stream, Lombard, and Wheaton.

The normal closing time for the restaurant on Sunday is 9:00 p.m.

The MABAS Box Alarm was struck out at 11:35 p.m.
