Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies, Aurora Police and Aurora Township firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:55 p.m. Sunday January 5, 2020 to a report of a vehicle crashed into a fence near the intersection of Dearborn Ave and Beckwith St in Aurora Township in Kane County.
A 19-year-old man was found shot in the vehicle along with a 20 year-old passenger with crash injuries that were initially reported to be minor. The 10 year-old man pronounced dead at the scene by Aurora Township firefighter/paramedics.
Sheriff’s Detectives and members of the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the shooting and crash. Initially, no suspect information was available and no motive has been established, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
