As firefighter/paramedics prepared for a technical rescue, first crews on arrival discovered that a 29-year-old male had been removed from under the truck by employees working together with an employee that used a forklift to lift the vehicle off of the employee.

The injured man was transported by Huntley firefighter/paramedics to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital. He was then transferred to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville by Flight for Life helicopter.

The Huntley Police Department is investigating the incident, and did not initially release the man’s condition or the extent of his injuries. Initially it was not known whether OSHA was investigating the workplace incident.
