Police and firefighter/paramedics from Mount Prospect responded about 9:55 p.m. Thursday December 12, 2019 to a report of a house fire in the block of 1800 Locust Lane. Police and firefighters received a report that the fire was on the second floor.

Engine 12’s crew on arrival reported fire showing on the roof and upgraded the response to a working fire. Engine 12’s crew led out with a hose line through the front door, and the fire was extinguished by about 10:15 p.m. (estimated).

Firefighters from Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, and Elk Grove Township responded to the scene for mutual aid for Mount Prospect firefighters. Arlington Heights firefighters/paramedics and Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics responded to standby in Mount Prospect fire stations.
