Some motorists on westbound Palatine Road made a left turn in front of eastbound express lane traffic to go south on Schoenbeck Road, but many motorists decided not to take the risk of crossing in front of eastbound express trucks and passenger vehicles. Many were exceeding the express lane speed and well over the construction zone speed. Also, many motorists were honking at motorists that were taking extra care before turning in front of the express traffic.
