Police and firefighter/paramedics from Aurora responded about 7:17 a.m. Thursday September 19, 2019 to a report that a small plane crashed near Aurora Municipal Airport.

Two occupants inside the aircraft initially reported no injuries.

Aerial images from news helicopters from ABC 7 Chicago and WGN News showed the aircraft down and apparently intact in an open field about 640 feet north along a line perpendicular to Runway 27 — slightly east of center of length of the runway.

The light sport aircraft registers as a Remos GX, manufactured in 2008 and owned by an LLC out of Oswego, Illinois.
