POLICE WERE NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM HIJACKING
Elk Grove Village police responded about 9:30 AM Friday August 2, 2019 to a vehicular hijacking at the AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence, 901 Martha Elk Grove Village, IL. Police received a report that four offenders hijacked a vehicle near IL-53/I-290 and Biesterfield Road.
UPDATE 12:30 PM: According to Elk Grove Village Police Department the incident was actually a civil dispute where one owner took the car from the other owner after they changed a tire together.
The victim’s vehicle is described as a black Dodge Caliber.
The offenders are described as three male/black subjects and one female/black subject using a chase vehicle described as a burgundy Nissan.
The offenders were possibly known by the victim. The victim’s vehicle and offender(s) were last seen westbound on Biesterfield Road and then southbound on Route 53.
Police were not able to confirm this as a vehicle hijacking as of 10:00 a.m. Friday.
