Thunderstorms are likely to reach Arlington Heights and the northwest suburbs by about midnight to 1:00 a.m. The storms are running ahead of a cold front that will be on the doorstep of Madison, Wisconsin between midnight and dawn. The weak cold front will still be in Wisconsin at 7:00 a.m. CDT Tuesday, and we won’t lose the Heat Index in the upper 80s until Thursday when the high will be 82°F with a Heat Index barely reaching 83°F. Winds will shift from light west-southwest winds overnight and in the morning Tuesday to west-northwest winds about noon, and then northeast by 4:00 p.m.
