Jeffrey Epstein, a disgraced billionaire financier who faced federal sex trafficking charges, died early Saturday August 10, 2019 inside his New York jail cell in an apparent suicide, possibly by hanging, according to media reports.
Media analysts are describing the incident as extremely scandalous that a suspect that possibly attempted suicide three weeks ago and who was under suicide watch in one of the most secure correctional facilities in New York was able kill himself. Epstein had suffered injuries to his neck and was found unconscious in a fetal position in what appeared to be a suicide attempt or jailhouse assault in a two-day window on or prior to July 24, 2019. Epstein had been arrested Saturday July 6, 2019.
Regarding Epstein’s death today, unidentified officials reported Epstein’s body was found at 7:30 a.m. Saturday inside his jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
After being found in cardiac arrest, Epstein was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Media analysts find it very suspicious that Epstein could have killed himself if he was under suicide watch after being found unconscious three week ago in his cell in Metropolitan Correctional Center. Analysts also questioned whether the death was actually a suicide, or whether his suicide was assisted or permitted in some way.
Epstein’s death is within 24 hours after a federal court released long-sealed documents that included depositions of years of alleged sex acts involving underage girls, including incriminating allegations involving prominent individuals. Epstein once friends considered Bill Clinton, Donald Trump and Prince Andrew among his friends.
