Palatine police responded about 12:50 p.m. Monday July 15, 2019 to a report of a stolen auto at the Motel 6 at 1450 East Dundee Road. Police received a report that a Jimmy John’s delivery driver was delivering an order about 12:41 p.m. Monday at the Motel 6. The delivery driver left her charcoal gray 2018 Honda Civic unlocked with the keys inside the vehicle while she went inside the motel to complete the delivery.
The car was left unattended for about five minutes, and when the 57-year-old Palatine woman returned to her vehicle, the vehicle was gone.
The order and delivery originated at the Jimmy John’s at 746 East Dundee Road in Palatine.
