TUE JUL 09 2019 ~6:09 PM EXTRICATION CRASH WITH INJURIES ON EB EDENS SPUR JUST EAST OF WAUKEGAN RD, NORTHBROOK • Northbrook Fire Department • Rollover Crash/Extrication Crash • 42.144705, -87.821039 (Edens Spur Eastbound and MM 28.25 Northbrook, IL) • Extrication crash; a white van on its side with entrapment on the Edens Spur near Northbrook Court and Northfield Township. Northfield A29 mutual aid.

TUE JUL 09 2019 ~4:45 PM FIRE AT AURORA METAL RECYCLING ON SPRUCE ST NEAR HIGHLAND AVE, AURORA — EXTRA ALARM FIRE • Aurora Fire Department • Commercial Building Fire/BOX ALARM/3rd Alarm Box Alarm • 619 Spruce St Aurora, IL • MABAS Division 13 Box Alarm on Box # for a fire at Aurora Metal Recycling — a commercial building 160 x 80 with a bowstring truss roof. Wind was from the South at 14 MPH at 4:52 p.m. at Aurora Municipal Airport. Gusts this afternoon have been as high as 18 MPH. [INCIDENT MAP]

Any residents in the area of the structure fire on Spruce, please keep windows shut and air conditioning units for the until further notice. There is no immediate hazard at this time and the fire is under control, however smoke will remain in the area for some time.

TUE JUL 09 2019 ~4:22 PM RESIDENTIAL FIRE ON NORTH BOSWORTH NEAR WAVELAND AVE, CHICAGO • Chicago Fire Department • Residential Frame/Working Fire • Bosworth Ave and Waveland Ave Chicago, IL • Residential fire on Bosworth Ave north of Waveland Ave. TL21 reports nothing showing from a 2-story frame on arrival. TL21 requests a working upon notification there are flames and smoke from the back porches. Primary search with a line led out to the rear. Firefighters about to go inside the front door at 4:29 p.m. but it looks like the fire is contained to the exterior, according to BC12. Ladder on the C-D side, primary searches complete and fire is out and contained to the exterior by 4:32 p.m. Line led out interior as a precaution. Some exposures had minor damage. E129 in the alley with the deck gun. BC20 reports a 2-story ordinary, 20×60, with smoke showing on the first and second floor. Line led out; fire on Side C. Starting searches at 2:04 p.m. BC20 requests a Still and Box Alarm at 2:08 p.m. for exposures and rear porches burning. [INCIDENT MAP]

Initial reports of an occupant in the vehicle were confirmed to be false. The burning vehicle was a Jeep that was unoccupied. [INCIDENT MAP]
