Chicago police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 4:09 a.m. Sunday May 26, 2019 to a report of a man down in the street on Touhy Avenue near Elmhurst Road just within the Chicago city limits. The location was just north of O’Hare International Airport near unincorporated Des Plaines and unincorporated Elk Grove Township.
The man was identified as Felipe Ramirez Garcia, age 45, of Mount Prospect. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office Felipe Ramirez Garcia’s death was ruled an accident; however the case is under investigation by the CPD Major Accidents Investigation Unit as a hit-and-run.
The hit-and-run victim suffered multiple traumatic injuries.
The CPD Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating the case as a hit-and-run, according to Chicago Police Department.
