SHOOTING VICTIMS TRAVELED TO BOYSTOWN AFTER BEING SHOT ON LAKE SHORE DRIVE NEAR FULLERTON
Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:08 AM Friday June 7, 2019 to a report of multiple people shot near Belmont Ave and Broadway Chicago, Il. Police and firefighters and paramedics arrived to initially find four people shot, and a Honda Odyssey with bullet holes on the driver’s side. CFD Ambulance 6’s crew requested an EMS Plan 1 by 12:08 a.m.
Early unconfirmed information indicated that the victims were shot on Lake Shore Drive and traveled in the Honda Odyssey to the Walgreens parking lot at the northeast corner of Belmont Avenue and Broadway.
Three victims were transported away from the crime scene by about 12:18 a.m.
Two patients were transported Code Red to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where both victims were listed in critical condition. One victim was a 20 year-old male shot in the shoulder. The other victim was a 26 year-old male shot in the head and torso.
One patient, a 22 year-old male, was transported Code Red to Level I Trauma Center Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he as listed in critical condition. He was shot in the chest and face.
Initially the status of the fourth gunshot victim was not confirmed, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the body of the victim remained inside the Honda Odyssey during the crime scene investigation. The victim killed was a 20 year-old male, who was shot in the chest.
The shooting crime scene is possibly located on northbound Lake Shore Drive just north of Fullerton Avenue just west of Diversey Harbor. The trip from the Lake Shore Drive crime scene to Belmont Avenue and Broadway Walgreens is about 1.3 miles (4 minutes).
