Road closures have been reported throughout Chicagoland from a variety of sources and are listed below the floodwater tips directly below. Some areas have had more than 3 inches of rain.
FLOODWATER TIPS
Stay out of all flood waters; trying to navigate the fast-moving, debris-filled flood waters can lead to drowning or risky rescue situations.
Avoid skin contact with the flood water because it can be contaminated and cause severe infections.
Do not consume anything exposed to flood water, and keep flood water out of your eyes, nose and mouth.
Move to high ground if you find yourself in an area where flooding is occurring.
Do not attempt to drive on a flooded road, even if the water appears to be shallow because your car could be swept away with resulting drowning, or the car could be stalled with vehicle damage resulting.
Do not push your vehicle out of the water. If it is stuck, get out and find higher ground.
Do not park near a stream, river or place that could easily flood.
Create a readiness plan in case your home or business floods.

Southwest Highway CLOSED between 131st and 143rd.
Wolf Rd CLOSED between 151st St and 143rd St
143rd St closed between Wolf Rd and Will-Cook Rd
PALOS AREA:
EB 107th St CLOSED between US-45 and Kean Ave
135th CLOSED between Ridgeland and Harlem
Harlem CLOSED between 104th and 107th
Southwest Highway north of 131st
RICHTON PARK:
Governors Highway CLOSED between Sauk Trail and US 30/Lincoln Highway
MATTESON:
Vollmer flooded east of Cicero
WARRENVILLE:
Ferry Rd CLOSED between Curtis Avenue and Winfield Road
WHEATON:
Intersection flooded College/Stoddard
Intersection flooded Manchester/Beverly
Intersection flooded Main/Park
Erie CLOSED between Manchester and Childs
Gables CLOSED south of Roosevelt Rd
Main Street CLOSED between Illinois and Roosevelt
JOLIET:
US 30 CLOSED between Highland Park Road and Washington
NAPERVILLE:
Ferry Rd is closed near Winfield.
