Retail Theft Offender Runs Out of Store with Merchandise at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:01 PM Sunday March 31, 2019 of a theft at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 401 East Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a male suspect, recognized by a store employee in several other retail theft incidents at other Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, was in the Arlington Heights store, and concealed merchandise on his person.

The male concealed merchandise for sale on his person and was stopped by store employees while still in the store, but he immediately ran out of the store with the merchandise without paying for the merchandise.

The offender was last seen leaving the area in an older model, maroon minivan with an unknown temporary license plate.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
