A fatal crash on I-80 west of I-57 closed all lanes and left 1 dead on Wednesday just before 9 a.m. According to Illinois State Police, the crash involved a pickup truck, a semi-tank truck and a Ford sedan.
A pickup driver was killed when he crossed lanes to exit from I-80 to I-57 and hit a semi-tanker truck about 9:00 a.m. Wednesday April 9, 2019. The semi-tanker truck then rolled over on the median, injuring the truck driver. During the crash, a third passenger vehicle was also hit by a downed light pole. The woman driving the third vehicle was not hurt.
Illinois State Police and Hazel Crest firefighter/paramedics responded to the scene.
