Palatine Road Resurfacing Project Stretches from Northwest Highway (US 14) to Milwaukee Avenue (US 45/IL 21).
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is scheduled to begin a Spring-Summer-Fall resurfacing project for Palatine Road from Northwest Highway in Palatine, through Arlington Heights and up to Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling/Prospect Heights. If the weather is acceptable, the project will begin Monday April 8, 2019.
Palatine Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the daytime hours while scraping and resurfacing is occurring.
IDOT say motorists will experience expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through the area.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
