The Active Shooter Drill is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon Friday March 22, 2019, at Barrington High School, according to the Barrington Police Department. The active shooter drill will take place at Barrington High School, 616 W Main Street in Barrington while Barrington High School students are on Spring Break.
Barrington police and fire personnel will conduct the drill in conjunction with Barrington Area Unit District 220 employees. The Barrington Police Department alerted the public not to be alarmed if they see significant police and fire activity, including helicopters, “near and around Barrington High.”
The drill is described as an important training exercise for high school personnel and first responders.
