Multiple People Shot at Warehouse Near Archer and Highland, Aurora — Life Threatening Injuries

Aurora police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:40 PM Friday February 15, 2019 to a report of multiple people shot at a warehouse at 641 Archer Avenue Aurora, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of multiple people shot. There are possibly five people shot at a warehouse in Aurora. The precise location is not confirmed, but early reports have mentioned locations at the Henry Pratt Co, 401 South Highland Avenue and Alro Steel at 641 Archer Avenue. Aerial video shows armored vehicles and SWAT activity at the south side of the Alro Steel warehouse at the loading docks. The location is just north of the intersection of Archer Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.

Fox News Channel was reporting at 4:00 p.m. that the incident occurred at the Henry Pratt warehouse, but most of the SWAT activity appeared to be to the north at the loading docks at the south wall of the Alro Steel warehouse.

There are reported life-threatening injuries at the scene. An EMS Box Alarm to the 4th Alarm level was activated by Aurora Fire Department. An AirMed helicopter was dispatched to the scene to airlift patients.

SWAT units and armored Bearcat units were immediately dispatched to the scene. A door near the loading dock of the warehouse shows signs of being rammed or forcibly entered. SWAT teams from throughout the suburbs were dispatched to Aurora and a witness reported. The ATF also responded to the scene Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Police are urged anyone in the area of the scene at Prairie and Highland to shelter in place.

An early report was that five people were shot at or near the steel distribution company at Archer and Highland …

The smaller Henry Pratt warehouse is located just south of Alro Steel on Highland Avenue. According the companies website, they make water release valves.

Businesses in the area and Holy Angels School just west of the warehouse were in lockdown Friday afternoon.
