CBS Chicago’s Vi Nguyen reports at the scene of a fatal shooting in unincorporated Northbrook near Milwaukee Avenue and Sanders Road.
Cook County Sheriff’s police and Glenview firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:15 PM Sunday February 3, 2019 to a report of a shooting at 3679 Salem Walk Northbrook, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a shooting occurred at the Salem Walk Apartments in unincorporated Northbrook, just south of the Village of Northbrook near Milwaukee Avenue and Sanders Road.
People on scene believed the man was about 22 years-old.
A shooting victim was found unresponsive inside an apartment building. CPR and Advanced Life Support was administered by firefighter/paramedics at the scene, but police reported the male victim was fatally shot. Initially police did not release the identity or the age of the victim.
Cook County Sheriff’s police and other police agencies on the scene investigating the scene using k-9 units and a drone.
