Over 1600 People without Power in Mount Prospect, Des Plaines Area and Palatine

At about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, ComEd was working on four main outage areas totaling over 1600 customers without power in Mount Prospect, Elk Grove Township, Des Plaines and Palatine.

UPDATE: Most of the ComEd customers mentioned in this article have had their power restored by 6:05 a.m.

ComEd reported 806 people were without power near Dempster Street, just east of Linneman Road in the Mount Prospect and unincorporated Elk Grove Township area.

ComEd reported 334 people were without power near Golf Road and Mount Prospect Road near the Des Plaines Mariano’s at the border of Mount Prospect and Des Plaines.

Probable Cause: Under Investigation
Estimated Restoration: Jan 30, 5:00 AM

About 421 customers had their power restored by about 4:00 a.m. near Wolf Road and Thacker Street in Des Plaines.

About 100 customers were without power near Hicks Road and Forest Knoll Drive at the Foxfire Condominium Complex near Midtown Athletic Club and the UPS Center in Palatine.
