Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:24 PM Monday December 24, 2018 to a report of smoke coming from a condominium townhouse in the block of 42.106442, -87.975626 (1600 North Douglas Court Arlington Heights, IL). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that smoke was coming from a neighbor’s unit.

Upon arrival firefighters immediately pulled a line into the front door of a 2-story townhouse.
The fire department response was updated to a working fire response by 7:30 p.m. Buffalo Grove Tower 25 and a Prospect Heights Engine 9 responded to the scene to assist Arlington Heights firefighters.
Squad 1’s crew assisted Engine 2’s crew with the hose line and Tower 1’s crew was assigned search.
No injuries were reported, and the fire in the dining room was extinguished by 7:35 p.m.
The fire is under investigation, but was possibly caused by a candle.
