The iPhone XR could’ve been a good deal, but Apple held back on the pixel density or resolution of the iPhone XR.
PPI is pixels per inch is resolution or pixel density. The higher the pixel density, the better the picture.
Apple introduced the Apple iPhone 4 with 326 ppi display on June 24, 2010. On September 12, 2018, Apple announced the upcoming Apple iPhone XR with 1792-by-828-pixel resolution at 326 ppi. What? With very low cost to up the resolution, what is Apple doing?
Sure the iPhone XR has a larger screen, but it’s resolution is hampered. One commenter joked the iPhone 4 still has a headphone jack, too. Another commenter joked it doesn’t have the annoying screen notch.
