Lakemoor police and and Lake County Sheriff’s deputies at 5:30 AM Thursday July 26, 2018 are on the scene of a reported police-involved shooting just south of the intersection of Four Seasons Blvd and Sullivan Lake Rd Lakemoor, Il. Police are on the scene on an access road to the Lakemoor Golf Club, just west of Four Seasons Boulevard, about 1700 feet south of Sullvan Lake Road. Fox Lake Fire Protection District firefighter/paramedics also responded to the scene.
Police appear to be concentrating their investigation on the access road about 100 feet west of Four Seasons Boulevard, and just southeast of Lakemoor Golf Club.
There is an early unconfirmed report that the investigation involves a fatal police-involved shooting. Unconfirmed early report indicates a female police officer checked a suspicious vehicle about 5:00 a.m. While she was investigating, the occupant pulled out a handgun and shots were fired. The female officer retreated, and the first backup police officer arrived. The suspect fired shots again. The suspect was found dead, and no police officers were shot. This is an early breaking news report, and may be subject to corrections and updates when an official police report is released.
ABC 7 Chicago’s Chopper 7 HD was over the scene. Lakemoor is located in Lake County and McHenry County. The Lakemoor Golf Club and the crime scene where Chopper 7 HD was overhead is located in Lake County.
