A worn out system of thunderstorms will be crossing from Minnesota to southeast Wisconsin this afternoon, and some peripheral activity may drift into the McHenry County, Lake County, Cook County, and other northern counties. The air is dry and showers might not make it to the ground before evaporating. However, there is a chance of some sprinkles about 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The high temperature of the day 76°F is expected about 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Enjoy the sunshine this morning as clouds will be moving into northern Illinois late this morning and this afternoon.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows some showers and thundershowers near Rockford in southern Wisconsin moving southeast. A larger system of thunderstorms runs from southwest of Madison straight up to northern Wisconsin at 9:35 a.m. The activity is moving northwest to southeast.
