Freight Train Stalled on the Canadian National Freight Railroad Line in Mount Prospect and Prospect Heights

A long freight train stalled about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday June 27, 2018 on the Canadian National railroad line and blocked multiple crossing in Prospect Heights and Mount Prospect. On Google maps traffic layer in the area, it appears that grade crossings are blocked from Golf Road to Camp McDonald Road — including from south to north … Rand Road, Central Road, Kensington Road, Euclid Avenue, and Wolf Road.

Railroad workers are on the scene, and expect to have the train moving by 9:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m.
