12:09 a.m. Attempted arson or arson in progress as girlfriend allegedly poured lighter fluid under bedroom door and is attempting to light it at 87th St and Burley, Chicago.

12:35 a.m. Police officer responding to a domestic disturbance was injured when a man struck him in the head with a vase at an apartment doorway near 64th and Kenwood, Chicago.

12:55 a.m. Police pursuit of a black Mercury starting about Cortland and Humboldt and terminated about Logan and Sacramento, Chicago.

1:42 a.m. Fire on the 4th floor at the Jewelers Center in the Mallers Building at 5 South Wabash with civilians rescued and two firefighters injured in a 3-11 Alarm fire with an EMS Plan 1.
