Two Injured in Unincorporated Grayslake (Gages Lake) House Fire on Springwood Lane

Gurnee firefighters responded about 2:32 p.m. Wednesday March 21, 2018 to a report of a house fire in the block of 18000 West Springwood Lane — an unincorporated area of Lake County near Grayslake. The fire, which affected both floors of a 2-story house at the front of the house, was extinguished by 4:00 p.m.

Two people were reported injured at the fire scene, and were transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where they were listed in “stable condition.” No firefighters were injured in the fire

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Gurnee firefighters were assisted by firefighters from Grayslake Fire Protection District, the Newport Fire Protection District and the Zion Fire-Rescue Department.
