Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:55 PM Monday March 26, 2018 to a report of a possibly suicidal subject outdoors near School Street and Central Road Mount Prospect, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that an armed man threatened to harm himself.
Police may have found an armed man at a house at the scene, and requested firefighter/paramedics to stage nearby. A weapon may have been found near the house where the man was located.
Neighbors in the area were told by police to stay inside their houses, and stay away from the police barricade.
Neighbors report the incident was resolved. The outcome is unknown.
Traffic was blocked on School Street between Central Road and Busse Avenue.
