Bradie Tennell will be returning to the Chicago with an Olympic Bronze Medal as part of the Team USA award. Bradie Tennell, also earned the top ranking for the U.S. women with ninth place in the skating category.

Tennell, who trains at Twin Rinks Ice Pavilion in Buffalo Grove, had a disappointing fall on the back end of a combination jump during Wednesday’s short program, and also stumbled during the free skate portion of competition Friday in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The U.S. women’s figure skating team, including 20-year-old Bradie Tennell (a Carpentersville native born in Winfield), landed its worst finish in modern-era Olympic history.

Twin Rinks Ice Arena in Buffalo Grove hosted watch parties this past week, cheering as they watched Tennell compete at the Olympics on NBC.
