Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:04 PM Monday January 1, 2018 to a report of a man found with his throat slit in an apartment with the door ajar. , 1407 East Evergreen Drive Palatine, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person found a man on the floor with his throat slit.
The man was reportedly found by a neighbor with his throat slit in an apartment where the door ajar.
Police found the man conscious and talking and declared the scene secure by 5:13 p.m.
Ambulance 82’s crew with extra paramedics on board was en route to transport the male patient to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital by 5:28 p.m.
There was initially no word on an offender at large, and there was initially no indication either way whether this is an aggravated battery or a self-inflicted injury. It is unknown whether this is a crime scene or not at this time.
