Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:52 AM Saturday January 27, 2018 to a report of a grill fir, 1920 North Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a grill was on fire in the McDonald’s restaurant and the restaurant was evacuating.
The first fire crew on arrival reported nothing showing from the outside.
The first interior crew reported an extinguisher activated inside the grill area. Firefighters isolating the gas feeding the grill.
A routine Health Department inspection was requested to the scene for an extinguisher discharged in the food preparation area.
Extra fire crews were immediately returned with Engine 2’s crew and Battalion 1 remaining on scene.
